Lois grew up in the Haliburton Highlands and currently lives in Lindsay. She worked for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for more than 30 years in several different locations and in a variety of roles ranging from fisheries biologist to branch director. Since retiring in 2015 Lois has pursued her passions of spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, dragon boating and dog training.
Throughout her career with the provincial government Lois believed strongly in providing excellent public service. She has continued to foster a belief in the importance of supporting and serving others through her volunteer activities. Brooksong embodies excellence in supporting those affected by cancer and Lois is honoured to be a member of the board.
Like so many people, over the years Lois has lost family members and close friends to cancer. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and has firsthand experience with how important it is to have a supportive community when dealing with a serious health issue.
